| We are going to lay down some basic rules for all of you that love to rp, so here we go. No scripting- Spoiler:
Incorrect:
"Player 1: "want some chocolate?"
"Player 2: Sure, I love chocolate!"
Correct:
Player 1, munching on chocolate, looks over at Player 2 sulking in the corner. "Want some chocolate?" Player 2's face lights up, and she cries with joy, "sure I love chocolate!"
No powerplaying- Spoiler:
This is when you take excessive control of another persons character as well as your own. What happens with this is that when the person who owns that character takes his/her turn, they will have a limited number of actions. Be descriptive This speaks for itself, one sentence posts are a no-no. No modding- Spoiler:
This is when you don't give the opponent/enemy time to react. Announce your attack and give them time to react. It's considered rude if you don't. No godmodding- Spoiler:
This is when a character is godlike with overpowering abilities. Yes, a strong character is to be feared and admired, but in a roleplay it's a big pain to other characters and makes the roleplay excessively boring. Your characters will not come out of every situation unharmed, but that's okay. It's fun to struggle in a fight. Also note that if your character is injured, it will have an effect on how they fight. OOC Discussion in Roleplay Threads- Spoiler:
Posting OOC(Out of Character) in the roleplaying should relate to the roleplay directly. If not, it shouldn't be done. If it is needed, you do it like this: ((Insert text here)), it should be informing people, not telling them to post or what not. Kicking people out- Spoiler:
Kicking people out of roleplays is unfortunate, but sometimes it must be done. It should be done by the creator of the roleplay, or his/her approved moderators. Try to avoid doing it. Signing upThis should be done in the Roleplays OOC thread. It's best to have a character down before asking the game manager to join. This prevents unneccesary spam. I expect there to be a character format sheet when sign ups are created. SpamOOCs aren't there for open discussion. I expect all conversations in the OOCs to relate to the Rp. Etiquette:Read the rules(for the 1000th time). Grammar:I understand some people don't speak English as a first language, but I don't want any 1337 5p34k. | |
